Log Analyzer FAQ

Which log formats are supported?
Spring Boot's default console format: ISO timestamp, level, PID, the --- separator, [application] [thread], logger and message. Lines that don't start a new entry, such as Java stack traces, are attached to the entry above them.
Are my logs uploaded to a server?
No. Parsing, filtering and exporting all happen in your browser. Pasted or uploaded logs never leave your device and are not stored.
Why does it say no log entries were recognized?
None of the lines matched the expected format, usually because the timestamp has no milliseconds or offset, or the --- separator is missing. Lines before the first recognized entry are skipped and counted.
How large can a log file be?
Uploads are limited to 20 MB of plain text. Binary files (gzip, zip, images) are rejected. Large results are shown 500 entries at a time, but exports always include every matching entry.
What do the JSON and CSV exports contain?
Only the entries that match your current level and search filters, with timestamp, level, origin, message and detected highlights. CSV cells that start with =, +, - or @ are prefixed with a quote so spreadsheets don't run them as formulas.
