- What happens if I name a column user, order or group?
- Reserved words and names with characters other than letters, digits and underscores are wrapped in double quotes, for example "user" or "order-id". Any double quote inside a name is doubled, so a name can never break out of the identifier. Spaces become underscores.
- Which databases does the SQL work with?
- The output uses standard SQL double-quoted identifiers, which PostgreSQL, SQLite, Oracle and SQL Server accept. Types like SERIAL, JSONB and TIMESTAMPTZ are PostgreSQL-specific; MySQL needs ANSI_QUOTES mode for double-quoted names.
- Are WHERE values escaped?
- Yes. Values for =, <>, LIKE and the other comparison operators become string literals with single quotes doubled. IN and BETWEEN values are inserted as typed, so you can write 1, 2, 3 or '2024-01-01' AND '2024-12-31'.
- Can I use expressions in the column list or ORDER BY?
- Yes. Plain names like id or u.order are quoted when needed, while expressions such as count(*), lower(email) or name AS n are kept exactly as you wrote them. LIMIT only accepts a whole number.
- Is my schema sent anywhere?
- No. The SQL is generated in your browser as you type, and nothing is uploaded or stored. Download the blueprint JSON if you want to keep your tables.
