Launchpad FAQ

Is my artwork uploaded anywhere?
No. Your image is read and resized with the browser's canvas inside this tab, and the ZIP is built locally. Nothing is sent to a server.
What size should the source image be?
Use a square PNG or SVG of at least 1024×1024 pixels, the largest size the App Store needs. Smaller images still work, but the biggest icons may look soft; non-square art is letterboxed (Contain) or cropped (Cover).
What is a maskable icon and why does the safe zone matter?
Android and installed PWAs may crop icons to a circle or other shape. Keeping your logo inside the central safe zone (about 80% of the icon) means nothing important is cut off whatever shape the device uses.
What is in the downloaded ZIP?
One folder per selected platform with every icon size, plus a README. With Web selected you also get manifest.json, robots.txt, the Open Graph image and ready-to-paste head tags and Next.js metadata.
How do I add the result to a Next.js or Vite project?
Copy the snippet from "Export to your project": Next.js gets a metadata object for app/layout.tsx, HTML and Vite get the <head> tags. Put the icons from the ZIP in your public folder so the paths match.
