- Which color formats are supported?
- HEX, RGB and HSL can be edited directly, and every color is also shown as OKLCH, HWB and CMYK, ready to copy as CSS.
- How is the contrast check calculated?
- With the WCAG 2 relative-luminance formula. Normal text needs 4.5:1 for AA and 7:1 for AAA; large text (24px, or 18.66px bold) needs 3:1 for AA and 4.5:1 for AAA; icons and borders need 3:1. The ratio is never rounded up, so 4.499:1 fails AA.
- Is the CMYK value print-accurate?
- No. It is a straight mathematical conversion from RGB without an ICC color profile, so use it as a starting point and confirm values with your printer's profile.
- Which palettes can it generate?
- Complementary, analogous, triadic, split-complementary, tetradic and shades, all derived from the current hue in HSL space.
