File Converter FAQ
- Are my files uploaded anywhere?
- No. Images are converted with your browser's Canvas engine and PDFs are rendered with PDF.js on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, so confidential documents stay private.
- How do I convert a PDF to PNG or JPG?
- Drop the PDF, pick PNG, JPG or WebP, and press Convert. Every page becomes its own image (name-page-001.png, …); with more than one page you can download them all as a ZIP. Use Start page and End page to convert only part of the document.
- Which DPI should I choose?
- 150 DPI is enough for reading on screen, 200 DPI (the default) is sharp on high-density displays, and 300 DPI or more suits printing or OCR. Higher DPI means bigger images and slower conversion; the maximum is 600 DPI.
- Why does my PDF show an error?
- Password-protected PDFs can't be opened without the password, so remove the protection first and drop the file again. Damaged or truncated files, 0-byte downloads, or other files renamed to .pdf are reported as not readable — re-download or re-export them and try again.
- Can I turn images into a PDF or a favicon?
- Yes. Drop one or more images and choose PDF to get one page per image, or ICO to build a multi-resolution favicon (16 to 256 px) from a single image.
